Claw, the Retired Gladiator Cerast
CLAW HAS FOUND HIS HOME!!!
Gladiatorial fights, just as they were a big deal in Ancient Rome, are a big deal in Mirabila. And just like in Ancient Rome, when a gladiator fought and won enough battles, he would be allowed to leave the arena, and would become a celebrity in the eyes of the public. Claw is that gladiator. He has fought over two hundred battles, and won one hundred eighty-seven of them (the remaining battles were all declared draws because of exhaustion on both parties, or because the presiding official declared the match a draw). In the city of Bollia, where he was born, grew up, and currently lives, he is something akin to a rock star. He has a fan following who adores him, and he eats that up. He loves rocking the celebrity life, which sometimes leads to him getting swept up in all of the gossip that inevitably goes around (and sometimes, he's starting the rumors). Despite that and his rough exterior, though, Claw is surprisingly polite when in pleasant company, and is actually a great joy to have around.
Claw is a tall, well-built man in his early thirties, with olive skin, short light brown hair, and hazel eyes. He also has very short facial hair that he keeps neatly-trimmed. His bronze-colored horns are about six and a half inches long each, and are curled close to his head, resembling ram horns, perhaps growing that way because of the helmet he used to wear as a gladiator. He usually wears a long tunic with a heavy iron belt around his waist, and leather sandals, but he does sometimes like to wear his old gladiator armor (consisting of padded armor for his left arm, a huge, ornate iron pauldron depicting a lion breaking a sword in its teeth, a heavy crested iron helmet that hides his face, and an an armored kilt-like garment) when he likes reliving the old days. Regardless of whether he's in his gladiator armor or his civilian clothes, he is never seen without his sword, an iron shortsword with a golden hilt and a large carnelian stone in the pommel.
Even though he doesn't fight in the arena anymore, Claw still enjoys a good fight, and he's damn good at it, too. He's too old to enlist in the Mirabilan Army, however, so he would be happy to serve as a personal protector and spiritual bodyguard for his new companion. He's not particularly adept in magick, but he's got such an intimidating and confident presence about himself that he can often drive off malicious beings without having to draw his sword, while potentially drawing in positive energies. He would be happy to help instill such confidence in his companion, as well as teach them how to fight on the astral if they are unable to do so themselves.
Claw would prefer a large spirit family, with no fewer than five spirits including himself. He wants to have the spotlight and get as many fans as he can from as many places as he can. He has declared himself bisexual and doesn't care what gender his companion is, though he has made it clear that he would enjoy pursuing a relationship with his future companion, romantic or otherwise. I feel that Claw may not be particularly beginner-friendly due to his rather heavy and intimidating presence.
As a note, I do not own the picture used in this listing. Claw chose that image to represent himself.
